“Reflet” (Reflection) shows two figures in silhouette on a bicycle, on a dark strip of land, under a sky of blue, yellow, pink and violet fireworks. Behind them, the horizon turns orange and pink.

Below the dark strip, a sheet of water repeats the scene upside down: the bicycle, the silhouettes and the colors of the sky are reflected almost unchanged.

The black of the silhouettes and the shore clearly separates the sky from the reflection, and the colored-pencil line shows its texture.

Pierre-Emmanuel Lyet depicts colorful atmospheres and ethereal backgrounds, blending patches of color. His work moves between the introspective, in soft tones, and the festive, in bright colors, always with a fluid, spontaneous expression.
