The Art of Baptiste Laurent

Baptiste Laurent, born in 1980 in Nantes, France, is a visual artist who has lived in Spain since 2007. He founded the shared studio Latolier in the Usera district of Madrid. He has exhibited in institutions such as the French Institute of Madrid and the National Museum of Anthropology. His work includes painting, sculpture and projects with literary, social and anthropological components. His recent publications, such as "Mauvaises tournures" and "Bajo el mismo mar", are characterized by their collaborative approach. Laurent is an anti-academic painter who combines various styles, from neo-figuration to urban art and abstraction.
